Chico Lifestyle one year old session on film
I spent the afternoon with Porter and his mama this past week and it was so much fun. We captured these photos for his one year old birthday which is coming up soon.
They met me at my home Chico garden studio for a quick mini session to capture portraits before he reaches the one year mark.

I am so excited for this sweet family! I’ve had the honor of photographing their family since Jackson was born and now again for Ava their daughter. They are such a sweet and dear family to me! I typically work with re-peat clients each year so I can create a boutique photography experience for my families. For the last few years, these guys have always gotten in from of my camera and its been such an honor!

Carter John is here and he’s such a cutie! Our whole family has been waiting for his arrival. After taking newborn photos in my garden studio, he had a welcoming committee in our house next to the studio. My oldest Kaizen even took a turn holding him and it was so cute!

I’ve been there too when my body is either in a place of healing or not quite where I want to be. Maternity season is so beautiful but also another chance to surrender. Surrender the way our bodies shape and mold when we’re growing a baby.

My husband and I were Zach and Mary’s wedding photographers and we’ve run into each other from time to around town. I did a motherhood photography session with Mary and Arthur a few years ago which was the last time we had seen each other . Fast forward almost a year later, at a local Chico event right after I had Oliver and Mary shared with me they were expecting their second baby. I was thrilled for them and excited to capture another important milestone once again!

The rain in Chico has been consistent the last few weeks but magically on the day of their family photo session, the rain cleared and we had the most amazing sunshine out the entire day. It was such a breathe a fresh air to have blue skies before the rain continued shortly after.

Her main role for our Rainmaker business and our family is taking care of our boys. She’s been an incredible nanny, office assistant, and someone to lean on in so many ways over the last two years. Our family is better because of her commitment and love she has shown to us!
Chico Motherhood Daughter Photographer Session in Northern California
Gosh, this session brings our businesses and the last few years so full circle! Lainie came into our lives right before I became a mama. She started working in our home and helping out with at the time our wedding photography business. Shortly after working for us, our Rainmaker business where we teach moms how they can have financial and time freedom grew and we needed more help. This was right after we had our first son Kaizen. Lainie stepped in and helped with so much. From being Kaizen’s amazing nanny, to my assistant and beyond. She truly became family!

When I think of the Cacceto family I think of the word joy. Joy in the midst of the good and joy in the midst of the really hard. I am overjoyed to share with you this newborn photography session I recenlty photographed in my Chico natural light studio. Matt and Taylor welcomed another beautiful baby girl into their family and she is the most precious thing.

My focus with these newborn sessions has always been to capture the connection between parents and their littles. As a mom, I cherish every photo session I have with my boys no matter how hectic or challenging the season is. Each and every-time a family steps in front of my camera I’m honored to be that photographer capturing those types of images for my families!

I’m so excited for this family! When Nicole first reached out to me about newborn photos she expressed she wanted the photos to be soft, simple and light! Nothing harsh or dark. I totally knew what she meant and was excited for the opportunity to work with her and Alex once their baby arrived.
One of the main reasons I love shooting newborn photos on film is because of the natural and soft tones is creates. My newborn studio creates the perfect space for families to come, spend time together in an environment perfect for photos. I always aim for my photos to look natural and candid and I love the way these turned out!
Chico California Family Lifestyle Photographer - Spring Family Photos - Carranza Family
This was my last Chico family photo session before having my second son Oliver. It was extra special for me for a number of reasons. Number one was because this was a family session with two boys that are the same gape that my two sons are. It felt like a glimpse into my new reality and make me so excited to watch the bond grow between my sons just like these two boys.
Second, Ashley had worked in the wedding industry with us and it was such an honor that reached out wanted to capture this sweet season of her family out on their beautiful property near Butte College.
