Pacifica California Overcast Beach Motherhood Film Session - Brooks Family

I first met Jenna two years ago when we were both taking the same class together. She would travel from Pacifica and we would travel from Chico to be in Vacaville every Wednesday night. It was a life changing class that has a huge emphasis on our spiritual and personal growth. Jenna had been a part of the group for several years and often led some of the discussions. I knew she was a mom and really admired her from a far.

Fast forward, we started following each other on social media. She ended up joining our Rainmaker Mastermind where we teach moms how to create alternative sources of income and since then we’ve gotten to connect on a new level.

We met up with her and her boys in Pacifica California for a motherhood photography beach session. The day was very windy and overcast which is pretty typical for a winter day in this small beach town.

We hiked down a short cliff and made our way to a local beach spot. Since having my son Kaizen, I have fallen in love with motherhood sessions. Don’t get me wrong, family lifestyle sessions are such a joy too but I specially love capturing the connection between a momma and her kiddos. I believe us mommas are warriors and the beauty each of us have inside and outside is so worth celebrating. We can all learn from each others strengths and champion each other even if we choose to parent our kids differently.

I know first hand, as moms, we’re the ones usually with the camera, trying to capture the moments with our kids. We often forget to get in the photos ourselves. I am on a mission, to encourage moms to get in front of the camera with their babies. I’m hoping this will be the beginning of many more motherhood sessions celebrating women and the connection we have with our children.

This session was such a treat for me. Jenna is filled with such grace and beauty. I love the way she nurtures her boys and calls out the best in them!
